The most common cause of clogged pores is insufficient cleansing or exfoliation, especially if your skin is oily. Excess oil and dead skin cells that are not properly removed can plug up your pores. Using soaps that are too harsh, or exfoliating too often, can also strip your skin of its natural oils. This can result in your skin producing too much sebum (to compensate for lack of oil), which can cause clogged pores.

Three extremely effective ingredients to help with visible pore reduction are Salicylic Acid, Bamboo Charcoal, and Kaolin Clay. Salicylic Acid helps dislodge dirt, oil, and debris from deep within the pores, while Bamboo Charcoal acts like a ‘magnet’ to draw out impurities from the pores.
